HISTORY

How to Reach?

ŚĀSTRA PRAMĀṆA

It is described in Śrī Bhakti Ratnākara (10/299)-

budhari-nikaṭa bāhādurpura grāma
tathā baise vipraśreṣṭha śyāmadāsa nāma

The village Bāhādurpura is located near Budhari. Śyamadāsa, the best of the brāhmaṇas was residing there.

This is the Śrīpāṭ of Śrīnivāsa Ācārya’s disciples, Karṇapura Kavirāja, Śyāmadāsa and Vaṁśīdāsa Cakravartī. Baḍugaṅgā Dāsa married the daughter of Śyāmadāsa. Vaṁśīdāsa started the worship of Gopīramaṇa Jīu.

It is described in Śrī Anurāga Vallabhī (7/51-53)-

śrī vaṁṣīdāsa ṭhākura prabhura kṛpāra pātra
pūrva bāḍi budhari bāhādurpura mātra

āśraya śrī gopīramaṇa jīura sevā
tāṅhāra bhāgyera sīmā kahiveka kevā

samprati bāḍi haya āminābajāra
jagata vikhyāta-gaṇa ke pāiva āra

Śrī Vaṁṣīdāsa Ṭhākura was the person who received the mercy from Prabhu. He was the resident of Budhari Bāhādurpura before. His only shelter was the worship of Śrī Gopiramaṇa Jīu. Who can describe the limit of his good fortune? Presently, he is the resident of Āminābājāra. He is a world-famous person.

Vaṁśīdāsa Cakravartī shifted his residence at Āminābājāra from Bāhādurpura. At present, there is no trace of this Śrīpāṭ. Most probably this has been hidden.
