Place of Pastime of Śrīla Śyāmānanda Prabhu’s

chief disciple Śrīla Rasikānanda Prabhu

How to Reach?

Śrīla Śyāmānanda Prabhu’s chief disciple Rasikānanda Prabhu stayed here for some time. At that time, once twenty Vaiṣṇavas came at the place of Rasikānanda Prabhu. Rasikānanda Prabhu gave them all cooking ingredients and he entered into the village at mid-night in search of ghee (clarified butter). He entered into a house of a yavana in that dark night. The yavana was taking rest with his wife on a cot. While Rasikānanda entered into the house, suddenly they started beating him furiously. Then Rasikānanda smilingly started telling them, ‘Why are you beating me? I am not at fault. If you do this, you will be troubled.’ Then the yavana was bewildered by his talk and released him. Rasikānanda collected ghee from another place and gave it to the Vaiṣṇavas.

Within two to three days, the wealth, elephants, horses and all other belongings of that yavana were destroyed. At last, his wife also died. Only he survived. Then the yavana begged forgiveness by falling at the feet of Rasikānanda and took his shelter. The yavana became a great Vaiṣṇava by the mercy of Rasikānanda and he got back everything he lost. In this way, staying at Balarāmapura, Rasikānanda Prabhu exhibited many supernatural pastimes.
