This Kākuṭiyā is the village of Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura’s father-in-law. Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura was a great poet and the author of the book Śrī Caitanya-maṅgala. It is heard that Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura installed the Deities of four feet tall Śrī Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu and Śrī Rādhā-kālācāṅda here. Presently, this Gaurāṅga temple is in a bad condition and is situated in a very solitary place. The temple is surrounded by many trees viz. campaka trees etc. It is understood that the worship of the Deities is conducted very nicely here. A big festival is celebrated here on the 1st. day of Bengali month of Jaiṣṭha (Mid May). Every day, lunch is offered to the Deities and daily worship is performed on regular basis. This Śrīpāṭa is situated just at the bank of the Ajaya River.

According to the book published from Śrīkhaṇḍa

Śrīpāṭa, Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura got married in his boyhood. After the marriage he did not have any connection with his wife. After the marriage he lived for some years at Śrīkhaṇḍa. He passed many years at Śrīkhaṇḍa. After that Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura alone came to his father-in-law's house at the request of some respectable persons of Kākuṭiyā and by the order of his spiritual master Śrīla Narahari Sarkāra Ṭhākura. He did not have any connection with his wife for long time after his marriage. At the entrance of the village he addressed a woman as mother who was carrying a water-pot and he came to know from her where his father-in-law's house is located. Afterwards, he came to know that the same woman whom he addressed as mother was his wife. Then he met with his wife in a lonely place and communicated to her that he can accept service from her but he cannot have the relationship of husband and wife as he had already addressed her as his mother. His wife served Locana Dāsa Ṭhākura and she was the first hearer of the poetical work of Śrī Caitanya-maṅgala which was written by him at Ko-grāma.

At this Śrīpāṭa the manuscript of Govinda Līlāmṛta has been kept in the temple along with the manuscript of Caitanya- maṅgala. These manuscripts have been kept very carefully and protected in the house of some worshipers.
