Begunkolā is situated in the district of Bardhamān. Boarding a train from Bandel to Kāṭwā one gets down at Kāṭwā. From there, one can walk one kilometer west and then, by crossing the Ajaya River, one can come to this Śrīpāṭa, which is located by the side of Uttarapāḍā primary school of the village. This ghāṭa of Ajaya is known as Begunkolā ghāṭa. This has been described in the seventy-seventh verse of the eighth mañjarī of Śrī Anurāga-vallabhī-

kāṭwāyāra nikaṭa begunkolā pāṭabāḍī

sekhāne vasati āra sarva bāḍī chāḍi

Begunkolā Pāṭabāḍī was at the end of the locality, which is situated near Kāṭwā.

Śrīpāṭa of Śrīnivāsa Ācārya’s disciple and brother-in- law Śrī Rāmacaraṇa Cakravartī, his disciple Śrī Rāmaśaraṇa Caṭṭarāja’s Śrīpāṭa is situated here. The author of Anurāga-vallabhī, Śrī Manohara Dāsa, stayed over here for some days with his gurudeva, Śrī Rāmaśaraṇa Caṭṭarāja.

Presently, there is no arrangement of any worship in this Śrīpāṭa. One Nāma-mañca (Altar where the holy name of God is sung) is situated there in a beautiful room which is not so big in size. This has been renovated by the Āśrama Pāṭabāḍī of Śrī Manohara Dāsa.
