Śrīpāṭa of Śrī Narahari Dāsa, the author of Śrī Bhakti Ratnākara
Reñāpura is situated on the banks of the Bhāgīrathī River in the district of Murshidābād under Jaṅgīpura sub-division. One can come to this Śrīpāṭa by getting down at Jaṅgīpura station by train from Bandel towards Bārhowrāh.
This place is the Śrīpāṭa of Śrī Narahari Dāsa, the author of Śrī Bhakti Ratnākara. His father Jagannātha Cakravartī was the disciple of Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī-pāda. It is described in Narottama Vilāsa about Śrī Narahari Dāsa-
viśvanāthera śiṣya vipra jagannātha
bhaktirase matta sadā sarvatra vikhyāta
pāniśālā pāśe ei reñāpura grāma
ethāi vaisaye vipra tīrthe aviśrāma
Jagannātha Cakravartī was the disciple of Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī-pāda. He was famous all over the place and always absorbed in the mel- low of devotional service. This Reñāpura village where he used to sit continuously is located by the side of Pāniśālā. Presently, this Śrīpāṭa is not traceable.
